Optimal cooling for your CPU
The Intel 1851 Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 features a jet system on the cooler surface, and the width of the cooling channel slots has been optimised. The cold plate of the cooler is made of nickel-plated copper and is mounted directly on the CPU chip. For this, the integrated loading mechanism (ILM) of the motherboard is removed, and the processor must be de-lidded. The nickel plating of the cooler plate creates a barrier layer, preventing gallium-based liquid metal from diffusing into the copper, and multiple applications of liquid metal are usually not necessary.
Aesthetic design with RGB lighting
Between the cold plate and the anodised aluminium cover is acrylic glass, which undergoes a tempering process after milling to relieve internal stresses. This ensures that no stress cracks form in the acrylic glass even after prolonged use, as can occur with hardened acrylic glass. Under the aluminium cover are RGB LEDs, which are controlled via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND) through the motherboard. The LEDs illuminate the acrylic glass beneath the cover and the G1/4-inch connections in the cover.
Note on the use of KryoSheet
The Intel 1851 Mycro Direct Die Pro RGB V1 has been extensively tested internally in various scenarios. During development, a strong emphasis was placed on stable operation of the processor and memory. In our test series, KryoSheet in combination with the Intel 1851 Mycro Direct Die Pro RGB V1 showed no significant improvements in terms of temperature and was problematic regarding contact pressure. Therefore, we cannot recommend thermal pads, as their additional thickness significantly affects the contact pressure and may impair functionality.
Note: Removing the heat spreader ("de-lidding") of a processor is at your own risk! By de-lidding the CPU, the manufacturer's warranty is void! Damages incurred during the de-lidding of the CPU are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty!
Removing the integrated loading mechanism (ILM) of the motherboard may lead to the loss of the manufacturer's warranty from the motherboard manufacturer!
