Optimal Cooling for Your CPU
The AMD Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 features a hybrid structure with two different sizes of microfins and a jet plate for optimized flow. The cold plate of the cooler is made of nickel-plated copper and is mounted directly on the CPU chip. For this, the Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM) of the motherboard is removed, and the processor must be delidded. The nickel plating of the cooler plate creates a barrier layer, preventing gallium-based liquid metal from diffusing into the copper, making reapplication of the liquid metal generally unnecessary.
Appealing Design with RGB Lighting
Between the cold plate and the anodized aluminum cover is acrylic glass, which undergoes a tempering process after milling to release internal stresses. This ensures that no stress cracks form in the acrylic glass over time, as can happen with hardened acrylic. RGB LEDs are located under the aluminum cover, which can be controlled via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND) through the motherboard. The LEDs illuminate the acrylic glass under the cover and the G1/4-inch ports in the cover.
Note: Removing the heat spreader ("delidding") of a processor is done at your own risk! Delidding voids the manufacturer's warranty! Damage caused during delidding is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty!
