Club 3D 12-in-1 Docking Station in Detail
The Club 3D docking station is a docking station that provides a total of four USB Type-A ports. Two of them transfer data thanks to USB 3.2 Gen2 with 10 Gbps. There is also a USB Type-C port, which also transfers data at 10 Gbps thanks to USB 3.2 Gen2.
Additionally, there is a 2.5 Gbit LAN port for network connection, as well as a 3.5 mm audio jack for microphone/headphones.
Thunderbolt 4 Certified
However, the main feature of the docking station is the Thunderbolt 4 certified ports. There is one downstream port and one for connecting to the PC.
The Thunderbolt 4 ports of the Club 3D docking station support a maximum data transfer rate of 40 Gbps, making them ideal for high-speed data and video transfer. These ports are backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3, DisplayPort Alt Mode, and the USB protocol.
High-Quality Video Output
For video output, the Thunderbolt 4 port supports a maximum resolution of 8K at 30Hz for one monitor or dual 4K at 60Hz. Thus, the docking station can operate a single monitor with a maximum resolution of 8K at 30Hz or two monitors with a resolution of 4K at 60Hz.
Additionally, there is a DisplayPort and two HDMI ports for video transmission. The DisplayPort supports a maximum resolution of 8K at 30Hz and complies with the DP 1.4 specification, allowing for high colour accuracy and HDR support.
The first HDMI port, located near the DisplayPort, also offers a maximum resolution of 8K at 30Hz and supports HDCP 1.4 and 2.2 standards for protected content. Like the DisplayPort, this HDMI port supports various colour spaces and HDR for top-notch image quality.
The second HDMI port provides a maximum resolution of 4K at 60Hz and also supports HDCP 1.4 and 2.2, various colour spaces, as well as HDR.
Up to two streams can be output simultaneously. This means that the docking station can either support two monitors with 4K at 60Hz or one monitor with 8K at 30Hz and another monitor with 4K at 30Hz. In specific configurations on Windows systems, the docking station can even operate three monitors with 4K at 60Hz simultaneously, with the DisplayPort and the first HDMI port displaying the same content.
